Hitman: Agent 47

Hitman: Agent 47 is the 2nd attempt to convert the hugely popular Hitman video game series to film, the first starring Timonthy Olyphant and Olga Kurylenko and although not horrible, it didn’t go quite as well as expected.

So, 8 years later we have a reboot of the franchise, this time we have Homeland’s Rupert Friend as the lead Agent 47.

My first thoughts on the trailer was 50% great and 50% not so great, let me explain. I think they have cast both Rupert Friend and Zachary Quinto in this film, which is brilliant, I’m big fans of both and I also think the trailer starts off brilliant, but my negativity goes to the later part of the trailer where the CGI looks a little iffy in parts and the action seems a little over the top for you to take this as a serious film.

Check the trailer out for yourself.

Hitman: Agent 47, directed by Aleksander Bach and starring Rupert Friend, Zachary Quinto, Ciaran Hinds and Hannah Ware is in UK cinemas on 28th August 2015.
